Put In: Hazard City Hall
Take Out: Perry County Park
Length: Approximately 5 miles on the North Fork of the Kentucky River. Allow 2-3 hrs to complete.
Difficulty: Easy (and relaxing).
Trail Activities: Kayak, raft and float, fishing (Small Mouth, Redeye, Kentucky Bass, Muskie, and occasionally a Trout). It is possible to see cranes, deer, fox, otters,& beavers, and other wildlife.
Parking: Ample parking at City Hall and the Perry County Park.
Stop by the Putt Putt shack at the Perry County Park to rent a kayak.
Hours 10am-5pm Thursday-Saturday and 12pm-5pm on Sundays.
$5 rental fee per boat. Call 439-1816 for details.
How it works:
1. Park at the basketball courts near the takeout ramp.
2. Rent a kayak.
3. You are transported to the trailhead with your kayak.
4. Run the North Fork River Trail to the takeout ramp.
