Perry County Fair

The Perry County Fair is held in June at the Perry County Park in Hazard.  If you've joined at the Fair in the past, you already know what a fabulous experience it is!  Each year, we try to add new events, including some old ones.  We've tried to make the Fair an even better experience, something for you and your whole family to enjoy.

The goal of the Perry County Fair is two-fold: to provide free entertainment opportunities at home and offer Perry County non-profit organizations the chance to fundraise for their groups.  We provide the entertainment and you can spend a little money supporting great causes by purchasing delicious food to eat or finding unique crafts and antiques to take home!  The Fair plays host to school and church groups, volunteer fire departments and civic organizations - among others - that need your support to keep worthwhile programs going.

So take a "stay-cation" this year and keep your local dollars local!  It's gonna be a party in the park!!
Some of the past events include:
  • Nerger's Tigers

  • Petting zoo

  • Pig races

  • Hillbilly Zipline, Meltdown and laser tag--all back by popular demand

  • 2-time Grammy winner Jason Crabb on Thursday Christian Youth Night

  • Jean Ritchie Family Variety Show on Friday evening

  • Country music straight from Nashville by Halfway 2 Hazard on Friday night

  • Bluegrass by Blue Highway on Saturday evening

  • Midlife Crisis closing out the Fair on Saturday night

  • All events are FREE!

We are blessed with gifted artists in Perry County!  They paint and draw, they sculpt and carve, they make jewelry and clothing. If you can conceive it, they can probably make it. Come out and support them and add a little something new to your home, yard or office.
