The Perry County Public Library serves the citizens of Perry County, Kentucky with the main library, a bookmobile, and an outreach van.  The library provides a wide variety of popular materials and services; the bookmobile serves as a mobile branch; and the library van provides outreach programming throughout the community.

Service is provided by friendly, certified staff.  Programs, such as book clubs, story time, and special events are offered to children, teens, and adults.  Notification to the public is published in local newspapers, announced on WSGS radio and WYMT TV, and the library’s website and social media pages.

You may obtain your library card by bringing in a current picture ID with your current address and completing the library card registration form.  Your first card is free.  Replacement cards are issued for $3.00.

We have 43 computers available for use in the library along with open WiFi.  Copies may be printed for $0.10 per page for black and white or $0.25 per page for color.

We are a tax-exempt organization and therefore cannot purchase books or other items for the public.  However, we will be happy to assist you in finding a place from which you can order requested items.

We have 4 meeting rooms and the library auditorium available for public use.  There are two quiet study rooms available.  Some meeting rooms are available after business hours.  Please let the meeting room scheduler know if you need kitchen or after hours access.  For more information or to check room availability, please call (606) 436-2475 and request to schedule a meeting room.
